Enterprise Training Programme
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's Enterprise Training Programme (ETP) aims to build capability in small and medium sized businesses. The programme targets motivated owners and managers who wish to grow their business.
Fully subsidised by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, the ETP offers the following services:
Needs Assessment
This phase is designed to identify an individual’s skill gaps and opportunities to build knowledge and management capability.
Group Training (workshops and seminars)
This includes workshops, seminars and courses aimed at transferring skills and knowledge in a range of business management areas. All are designed so that owners and managers leave with practical ideas, knowledge and tips to use in their business.
Follow-Up Coaching
One-on-one coaching may be available to attendees of group training. These sessions with the workshop presenter are designed to help individuals implement the skills, ideas and knowledge gained in the workshops into their businesses.
Enterprise Training for Tourism Businesses
Businesses in the tourism sector that meet the eligibility criteria are able to access the services offered under the Enterprise Training Programme. Training tailored specifically for tourism businesses is offered in some regions, where there is demand.
Tourism Roadshows
Tourism New Zealand runs an annual programme of industry seminars in New Zealand's regions.
The seminars give the opportunity for the three agencies, Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Industry Association and the Ministry of Tourism, to discuss current issues in tourism with operators face to face.
The Ministry of Tourism uses this opportunity to inform tourism operators of the wealth of research avaiable to aid in business decision making. For information on the seminar programme, contact Katherine Prusas at Tourism New Zealand.
