Federation of Maori Authorities (Inc.)The Federation of Maori Authorities Inc. (FoMA) is New Zealand's largest Maori business network. FoMA members manage their own resources for the creation of wealth and the betterment of their owners/shareholders. This economic activity supports Maori across different levels from the whanau - small family group, hapu - the extended family or sub tribe, through to the iwi - tribal grouping. The main focus of FoMA is to foster economic development, with a particular emphasis on land related development in the primary industries of New Zealand. The interests within its membership range in capability from small, single farm businesses, to diversified enterprises with international equity interests managed alongside interests across many primary industry, processing and servicing sectors.
Business Growth ServiceNew Zealand Trade and Enterprise provide grants, from its Growth Services Fund to support high growth potential firms to purchase external advice and expertise, market intelligence and development services. Grants up to a maximum of 50% of the qualifying costs are available for individual or groups of firms to access new business opportunities, skills and expertise, innovation and new technologies and finance. The Fund is only accessible for companies that have a clear and significant growth potential and for whom a development plan has been compiled with an NZTE client manager. Maori Business Facilitation ServiceThe Maori Business Facilitation Service is a business mentoring agency set up by Te Puni Kokiri (the Ministry of Maori Development) which provides advice, guidance and facilitation services essential to developing a new or existing business. The Facilitation Service matches people with an Accredited Business Mentor who acts as an adviser, and helps them develop their business or business idea.
Maori Regional Tourism OrganisationsMaori Regional Tourism Organisations (MRTOs) are self-identified collectives of mainly Maori tourism operators in a particular region. While the role and function of the MRTOs varies from region to region, key functions may include:

Tai Tokerau Maori and Cultural Tourism Association This group covers the Tai Tokerau region north of Auckland.
Te Ara a Maui Established in 1995. Covers the Greater Wellington region and includes Marlborough and Nelson in the South Island.
Maori in Tourism Rotorua Formally established in 1997. Covers the Rotorua area.
Tourism King Country Maori Incorporated Society
Central North Island Maori Tourism Inc Central North Island Maori Tourism embraces the wider Central North Island covering the Greater Lake Taupo, Ruapehu, Waitomo. There are also tourism members from other regions.
Tourism Ngati Porou Covers the Traditional Tribal Region of Ngati Porou East Coast region from Potikirua through to Te Toka a Tatiau in Gisborne.

TIANZ - Tools and Templates Compact DiscThe Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIANZ) is based in Wellington and represents approximately three and a half thousand tourism operators and organisations across the industry. TIANZ provides members with leadership, guidance and related services to help foster a viable and sustainable tourism industry for all New Zealanders to value and enjoy. TIANZ core business includes managing three national industry events each year - TRENZ, New Zealand’s largest tourism trade event, the organisation and presentation of the New Zealand Tourism Awards, and the New Zealand Tourism Conference - a forum for the presentation of key issues facing the industry. Māori CollectivesThe Foundation for Research Science and Technology has introduced a new pilot scheme that aims to provide for the needs of Maori collectives, namely Iwi authorities, Trust Boards or incorporations; runanga; hapu, whanau or whenua-based trusts and marae committee. It has been specifically devised to assist Maori collectives that, for mostly commercial reasons, are ineligible for other grants within the Technology New Zealand scheme, yet have access to or control of scarce or valuable resources with clear commercial potential.

Te Awe Wellington Maori Business NetworkTe Awe Wellington Maori Business Network is a non-profit organisation and was established in 1996 and is the oldest Maori Business Network operating in New Zealand. Te Awe are registered with the Registrar of companies as an Incorporated Society and operate on a voluntary basis with a small membership. Te Awe’s purpose is to promote, assist and encourage Maori in business through regular networking Hui where Maori Business owners meet and share their business successes and challenges.
