Tourism New Zealand Promotion

Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) is New Zealand's national tourism organisation responsible for marketing New Zealand as a visitor destination to the world. They work to motivate New Zealand's ideal traveller to come to New Zealand, to do more while they are here and to come back again. Their main marketing vehicle is the global marketing campaign, 100% Pure New Zealand, run through its 16 offices around the world. Part of the campaign is liaising with and hosting international media to increase New Zealand's international exposure through targeted publications. The internet also plays a vital role in the campaign. Tourism operators can be listed free of charge on the newzealand.com (consumer) website. TNZ also conduct market research that tourism operators can freely access on the www.tourisminfo.govt.nz website. 

Through their Trade Marketing and Education functions, TNZ can link tourism operators with overseas wholesalers and retailers through educational programmes such as "Kiwi Link", and trade shows. TNZ have also produced some excellent resource booklets that cover topics including pricing and distribution, creating effective marketing materials etc. TNZ also provide the industry with tourism-related news through the bi-monthly publications "Tourism News" and the electronic "Regional Rap".
