RTONZ Strategic Plan
The New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2010 identified Regional Tourism
Organisations (RTOs) as critical to achieving the goal of managing and
marketing New Zealand as a world-class visitor destination.
Keeping the tourism industry informed of RTO activities and
direction is vital to ensure coordination of an all-of-sector approach
to implementing the Tourism Strategy.
RTONZ therefore developed a strategic plan for 2003-2006 to guide
their future work. The strategic plan will act as a reference for RTOs
and stakeholder groups to understand the issues, objectives and
strategies to be implemented by RTONZ, and to enable the progress of
RTONZ in achieving its goals to be monitored.
