Visitor Satisfaction Toolbox

A successful tourism industry is based on visitor satisfaction. Failure to meet and exceed visitor expectations will lead to a reduction in visitor numbers and the associated economic benefits that tourism can bring.

Measuring visitor satisfaction should be a key function of local authorities as tourism becomes an ever increasing component of economic wellbeing.

Visitor satisfaction surveys are an important part of information gathering and can enable you to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your area against competing destinations.

Completing the following checklist will help you identify whether you have all the information you need on visitor's satisfaction levels with the services available in your town, city or district.

The rest of this toolbox will help you to fill in any information gaps that you identify.  Download the Visitor Satisfaction Toolbox (PDF 124KB).
