Welcome to the Tourism Strategy Group's policy website.
 
From 16 August 2010 a new Tourism Strategy Group will be established within the Ministry of Economic Development.  The Tourism Strategy Group replaces the previous Ministry of Tourism and is responsible for advising government on how to maximise the value tourism adds to growing a high productivity New Zealand economy.

This advice is underpinned by a research and evaluation programme, utilising,  amongst other things, the Core Tourism Dataset that the Tourism Strategy Group manages on behalf of government.
