The Ministry of Tourism has also developed the Tourism Demand Subsidy Scheme to assist small communities with high tourism flows to invest in water and sewerage infrastructure to sustain their tourism industry.

The Tourism Facilities Grants Programme is a small discretionary fund held by the Minister of Tourism that provides funding for non-commercial tourism facilities.  Read more and download the application form.

The Ministry of Tourism does not provide funding for tourism businesses.  However, we do fund a substantial body of tourism research that is freely accessible.  This research is particularly useful for business planning, funding proposals and ongoing business decision-making.  See our research website - http://www.tourismresearch.govt.nz.
