Review of Core Tourism Statistics
The Ministry of Tourism has undertaken a Review of Core Tourism
Statistics on behalf of the Tourism Research Council New Zealand.
This Summary Report highlights the key findings of the Review.
More details of the Review, including analysis and the full set of
recommendations, are presented in the Full Report.
The purpose of the Review has been to establish a sound basis for the
Ministry to manage the core tourism dataset, including what it can and
cannot deliver, the issues needing to be resolved to enhance the
statistics delivered and to provide a strategic context for its future
development.
